Comfort vs Productivity: How does workplace environment change?

Riga, Latvia, September 20, 2018

The theme of the conference intends to start discussing about a topic which has been underestimated
by Latvian organizational psychologists – how workplace environment affects our productivity and well-being
at work. It seems there is a close connection, but is it so? What do we really know about the topic and why
so many companies are modernizing their offices and redesign their work environment? The conference will
cover actual topics in this area to bring understanding on key principles to help organizations create
environment that shapes the culture, gives the intended results and makes employees happy.
Latvian Society of Organizational Psychology invites you to submit proposals for presentations.
Contributions from both scientists and practitioners are very welcome.

Topics
Contributions from all areas of Work and Organizational Psychology, Personnel Psychology and Business
Psychology are welcome, such as (but not limited to):

  • Cognitive ergonomics (e.g. mental workload, decision-making, job performance, emotions, work
    stress, burnout);
  • Organizational ergonomics (e.g. communication, work design, work systems, design of working
    times, conflicts, teamwork and cooperative work, virtual organizations, telework);
  • Physical ergonomics;
  • Office environment and organizational culture

Submission process
Please submit your proposal at http://www.lopb.lv/conference-2018 till July 10th, 2018. We will send
notification of acceptance no later than July 25th, 2018.

Other important information
Participation in the conference with the presentation is free of charge. Working language will be English and
Latvian.
